This presentation entitled 'Engaging Parliamentarians in Improving Road Safety' was made by Evelyn Murphy (WHO) at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It presents the Global Network for Road Safety Legislators Leadership Council and its secretariat, which is hosted by WHO, as well as the different regional network and their goals of raising awareness for road safety issues that are relevant to their regions, sharing solutions accross countries, etc.

This presentation entitled 'Ensuring the Sustainability of Corridors Management Institutions' was made at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The presentation posits that there is a mismatch between the high importance given to Corridors Management Institutions (CMIs) and the lack of support for ensuring the sustainability of their operations. In fact, most CMIs with permanent secretariats in Africa face the critical challenge of financial sustainability in the long run.

The presentation entitled 'Advancing Africa Green Freight Transport Agenda' was made at SSATP's 2019 Annual Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe as an introductory message to kickstart the conversation. The presentation begins by acknowledging that at the continental and global levels, there is consensus on the need for environmental friendly transport, as evidenced by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and climate related targets.

This presentation entitled 'Innovation in Improving Logistics Efficiency and Increasing Trade through E-Freight Markets' was made at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It provides an overview of the challenges resulting from non-automated freight markets - such as high transport costs, unreliable delivery times, reduced trading potential, non-competitive exports and unprofitable transport businesses - and makes the case for leveraging technology to create an e-freight market that would ehnace trade effiency.

This presentation provides an overview of SSATP's Fourth Development Plan (DP4) concept note, and incorporates stakeholder feedback on the additional activities that should be included under each of the proposed thematic areas, namely  Regional Connectivity and Economic Integration (RCEI), Sustainable Urban Mobility and Accessibility (SUMA), Road Safety (RS), and Resilient Road Asset Management (RRAM).

This presentation provides an overview of SSATP's Fourth Development Plan (DP4) concept note. The proposed thematic areas for the new DP4 include: Regional Connectivity and Economic Integration (RCEI), Sustainable Urban Mobility and Accessibility (SUMA), Road Safety (RS), and Resilient Road Asset Management (RRAM). Under the new plan, there will also be a larger focus on cross-cutting themes, including human capital development, gender in transport, digital solutions and low-carbon options.

Presented by Tawia Addo-Ashong, SSATP's Road Safety Pillar Lead, on November 25, 2019 at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, this presentation provides an overview of the main road safety activities completed under SSATP's Third Development Plan. It also conceptualizes what SSATP can do going forward to promote the adoption and ownership of the safe system approach to improve road safety managemetn in Africa.

This presentation entitled 'Challenges of Financing Road Safety in Zimbabwe' was made by Obio Murambiwa Chinyere, Managing Director of the Traffic Safety Council of Zimbabwe,  at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. The presentation provides an overview of Zimbabwe's road safety statistics, the main causes of road crashes, Zimbabwe's strategic plan to address the road safety situation, and the financial challenges to implementing the plan.
