Presented by Tawia Addo-Ashong, SSATP's Road Safety Pillar Lead, on November 25, 2019 at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, this presentation makes the case for why data and cooperation are essential for addressing Africa's road safety crisis. It goes on to present the work done to establish the Africa Road Safety Observatory (ARSO) - including its objectives, vision, governance structure and work plan going forward - and how African universities and reserach centers can help tackle Africa's road safety challenge.
