Mobility and Accessibility in Urban Areas of Africa

The UCLG Summit presented a unique opportunity for SSATP to benefit from an open discussion with urban development policy makers and practitioners globally, particularly those working with cities in Africa, to gain key knowledge and experience on what works and what needs to be done to deliver sustainable urban mobility in Africa.

The SSATP side event on "Mobility and Accessibility in Urban Areas of Africa" generated increased awareness on the need for comprehensive and integrated mobility and accessibility within urban development in Africa. It provided an important link with stakeholders leading the urban development agenda and facilitated opportunities for partnerships aiming to address the current and future mobility and accessibility needs of urban communities in Africa.
