This presentation entitled 'Dakar Bus Rapid Transit Pilot Project' was made at the 2019 SSATP Annual General Assembly in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. It provides an overview of of key components of the Dakar BRT Project: (i) It is a mass transit system with a transformational impact on the city; (ii) The BRT corridor is part of a comprehensive urban mobility strategy; (iii) It used a comprehensive Corridors Management approach for transport planning and urban integration; and (iv) It focused on architectural design for improved livability. THe presentation consludes with the project's main takeaway:  integrating BRTs solutions in a comprehensive transport and land use strategy is key.
