Presented by Nkululeko Leta, Deputy Team Leader of Infrastructure Research at the Reserach for Community Access Partnership (RECAP), on November 25, 2019 at SSATP's Annual General Meeting in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, this presentation entitled 'The Need for Climate Resilience Policies in Road Asset Management' makes the case for mainstreaming climate change adaptation (CCA) into a range of levels spanning national policies, planning instruments, monitoring and asset management systems, information systems, down to an engineering project level, including in the entire lifecycle of rural access roads. It proposes a methodolory for embedding CCA into policy and planning processes for road asset management.
