Save the Date: SSATP Annual General Meeting 2025
The Africa Transport Policy Program (SSATP), in collaboration with the Government of Benin’s Ministry in charge of Sustainable Development and Transport (MCTV), is pleased to announce the SSATP 2025 Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place in Cotonou on March 24-27, 2025. This is an invite-only event for key stakeholders in Africa’s transport sector.
Widely recognized as SSATP’s flagship event, the 2025 AGM will be the first to be held since the launch of the Fourth Development Plan (DP4, 2022-2026) in July 2022. This AGM comes at a critical junction as the SSATP DP4 nears its mid-term review, providing an opportunity to assess progress and shape the future direction of the program.
Under the theme "Strengthened Governance for Safe, Sustainable, and Decarbonized Transport in Africa: Enhancing Institutional Capacity through Regional Collaboration," this high-level gathering will convene over 250 participants, including transport ministers, senior officials, development partners, private sector leaders, and technical experts to:
- Review progress on SSATP’s Fourth Development Plan (DP4) spanning 2022-2026.
- Share best practices, lessons learned, and innovative solutions in urban mobility, road safety, regional connectivity, and resilient road asset management.
- Strengthen partnerships, foster collaboration, and facilitate networking among key stakeholders.
- Plan future activities in alignment with Africa’s emerging transport priorities and challenges.
The four-day event will feature ministerial roundtables, technical discussions, and networking opportunities, culminating in the SSATP General Assembly on the final day.
